No. The massager works perfectly without cream — heat, vibration, and EMS are effective on their own. The cream complements it: with the tissue prepared by the heat, the botanical actives penetrate much better. If you have it, use it. If not, the massager already provides a lot.
It is specially designed for high-load areas: calves, quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, lower back, shoulders, and trapezius. The U-shape fits the muscle curvature. It is not recommended for areas with direct bone, superficial vessels, or the face.
Post-training is the time of greatest impact: the muscle is active and receptive. It also works very well as a nighttime ritual before sleeping — many users use it this way to close the day. On rest days, it can be used in gentle EMS mode for active recovery.
